Achieving environmental sustainability while sustaining economic growth has become an urgent global policy priority, particularly as governments face increasing pressure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate the green transition. Digitalization of the government sector and green policies can play a vital role in balancing economic growth and environmental sustainability. However, the empirical analysis in this regard is in its early phases, leaving a significant gap in the literature . This analysis aims to fill this gap by analyzing the influence of e-government, green policies, and economic growth on environmental sustainability. To estimate the short- and long-run relationships among e-government, green policies, economic growth, and environmental sustainability, we employ the environmental CS-ARDL model. The results of the CS-ARDL indicate a beneficial impact of digital governance on environmental quality in the long run. Moreover, the stringency of environmental policies improves environmental sustainability in the short and long-run by controlling greenhouse gas emissions. Nonetheless, economic growth and natural resource rents do not significantly influence greenhouse gas emissions. In the short-run, most of the factors do not significantly influence greenhouse gas emissions.
