Information from the abstract
The final instar larva of Indolestes anomalus Fraser, 1946 is described and illustrated based on reared material from Thailand. The larva is distinguished from other described congeners by the morphology of the labial palp, abdominal spines, colour pattern, and caudal lamellae. Its larval habitat is identified as temporary montane forest pools, and caudal lamella autotomy is documented. The number of described Indolestes Fraser, 1922 larvae is increased to seven, and additional diagnostic characters for the taxonomy of the genus are provided.
