PrEP Use and Willingness Cascades Among Transgender Women in 11 Asian Countries: Findings From the PrEP APPEAL Cross-Sectional Online Survey
The 2022 PrEP APPEAL online survey included 1,178 transgender women in 11 Asian countries. Awareness was 80.0%; among those aware, 62.6% had ever used PrEP, and 78.1% of ever-users were current users. Among higher-risk PrEP-naïve respondents, 60.0% were willing to use it, but only 34.0% of those willing would pay. Healthcare discrimination was associated with lower lifetime use; causality cannot be inferred.

A Thai team converted cassava peel into fluorescent carbon dots through nine-minute microwave-assisted pyrolysis and incorporated them into a small-particle reagent for latent prints on glass. The dots produced blue fluorescence with 31% quantum yield and low UV background.

A Burapha University team developed citric-acid-crosslinked CMC and soybean-extract films with 10 wt% rambutan-peel extract. All fortified films reached UPF 141.5, blocked 99.3% total UV, retained 70-85% visible transparency, and better protected vitamin C over seven UV-exposure days.
Chulalongkorn and Thammasat-affiliated researchers develop a theoretical cylindrical microshell with piezoelectric faces, a graphene-reinforced TPMS core, and internal flow. Closed-form response curves map energy trends, but no physical prototype or experiment is reported.
Khon Kaen University-affiliated researchers propose a multi-objective, multi-constraint bi-layer allocation framework for grid-forming storage. The topic is important for renewable-rich grids, but no abstract was exposed and Crossref lists November 2026, conflicting with the discovery date; numerical claims are therefore withheld.

An eight-year microsimulation compared 6-8.5 mm implants without guided bone regeneration with >10 mm implants plus vertical regeneration for posterior atrophic mandibles. In the Chilean private-payer model, short implants cost less and produced slightly more implant-years, but this is modeled economic evidence rather than a new clinical trial.
An integrative review of Thai Pristaulacus wasps combined morphology, DNA barcoding, and phylogenetic analysis. It recognizes 17 Thai species, describes P. chiangmaiensis as new to science, records P. vilhelmseni in Thailand for the first time, and supplies an identification key and distribution map.

A Chulalongkorn-affiliated team combined a redox-active deep-eutectic gel electrolyte with CNTs coated in ZIF-8-derived porous carbon, targeting ion transport, accessible surface area, and low-temperature operation. The laboratory device reported strong areal performance and retention.

A Thai team from Thammasat and Kalasin universities studies temperature-controlled condensation after plastic-waste pyrolysis to target gasoline-range products. ACS and Crossref exposed no abstract, so feedstock, temperatures, yield, and fuel-quality claims are withheld.
A Chiang Mai University-linked team converted invasive Salvinia cucullata into biochar and tested it on stevia across water-holding conditions. Biochar did not consistently increase biomass, but it was associated with altered shoot architecture, selected antioxidant traits, and expression of genes involved in steviol-glycoside biosynthesis.

A retrospective cohort of PCI-treated STEMI patients with Killip class III-IV reported 18.8% in-hospital mortality. Low hemoglobin, low mean arterial pressure, use of more than two vasopressors, and multivessel PCI were associated with higher mortality.

A Mahasarakham University-linked study shows that PLLA and PDLA molecular-weight pairing controls stereocomplex crystallization, improving heat resistance but potentially causing brittleness. Experiments and finite-element analysis map a design space rather than optimizing a single property.
INTRODUCTION: Chronic gastroduodenal disorders remain challenging to manage, and new diagnostic approaches are needed to better delineate underlying causes and guide therapeutic decisions. Body Surface Gastric Mapping (BSGM) technologies combine high-resolution gastric myoelectrical activity measurements with symptom and psychological profiling to provide mechanistic insights into gastric motor and sensory dysfunction. An International Working Group convened to derive the first consensus classification of BSGM phenotypes (the "Auckland Classification"). METHODS: A Technical Group conducted a systematic literature and clinical database review to identify objective test biomarkers and candidate disease mechanisms. Evidence was synthesized across 50 studies (primarily in gastroparesis, chronic nausea and vomiting, and functional dyspepsia), and BSGM phenotypes were mapped to existing treatment guidelines. Subsequently, iterative review and development of consensus was performed by a Consensus Group composed of international clinical experts familiar with BSGM. Eleven statements underlying the classification were then derived and circulated as a final survey to establish agreement. RESULTS: Six BSGM phenotypes were endorsed: three defined by myoelectrical abnormalities (Dysrhythmic, High Frequency, and Low Meal Response) and three by characteristic symptom associations (Sensorimotor, Continuous, and Delayed Onset Symptoms). Published studies plausibly linked these phenotypes to mechanisms including interstitial cell of Cajal depletion, vagal impairment, hypomotility, visceral hypersensitivity, gut-brain dysregulation, and small bowel dysfunction. Phenotypes were also mapped to existing mechanism-based treatment guidelines. Ten out of the eleven statements had > 80%…
