The association between animal-keeping practice and human malaria infection: a cross-sectional study in southern Tanzania

Among 11,406 people in rural southern Tanzania, poultry keeping near households was consistently associated with higher odds of malaria rapid-test positivity across several models. The finding supports testing animal-housing interventions alongside vector control, but it does not prove that poultry keeping directly causes infection.

Early childhood caries at its start: oral health disparities in Thai toddlers

Among 263 children aged 6–36 months attending one Bangkok university hospital and two provincial hospitals, overall caries prevalence was 39.5%. Provincial children had a median debris index of 1.50 versus .67 and more severely affected tooth surfaces, 30.6% versus 9.7%.
